Delete your Mekora account
You can delete your Mekora account at any time, from any device. This page explains exactly how deletion works, what is removed, and what we are required to keep.
Delete your account from the app
Account deletion happens inside your Mekora account, because it is an action that has to be tied to a signed-in user. It takes under a minute.
- 1. Open Mekora and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- 2. Go to Settings, then Account.
- 3. Choose Delete account.
- 4. Confirm when prompted. You will be signed out on all devices.
Account settings open in the Mekora app, where you are signed in. Nothing is deleted from this page and no confirmation is ever requested by email link.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, photos and written answers — removed from discovery immediately.
- Your matches and conversations, which are also removed from the other person's inbox.
- Your likes, passes and friend connections.
- Any verification material held against your account.
- Your login credentials and linked sign-in providers.
What we keep, and why
A small amount of information survives deletion because removing it would be unlawful or unsafe. This is limited to what is necessary and is not used to build a profile of you.
- Records connected to reports of harmful behaviour, so that a banned account cannot simply be recreated.
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as those relating to fraud, safety investigations or lawful requests.
- Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.

If you cannot sign in
If you have lost access to your account, contact us through the support page from the email address linked to the account and ask for deletion. We will confirm ownership before acting on the request, and we will never ask for your password.
